Gengivo-estomatite felina. Uma Revisão
Resumo
A gengivo-estomatite crônica é uma patologia oral caracterizada por apresentar lesões inflamatórias crônicas que atinge principalmente o arco glossopalatino. A sua etiologia ainda é desconhecida, mas parece ser multifatorial e apresenta fatores imunomediados. O diagnóstico deve ser baseado na anamnese, exame clínico e análises laboratoriais, devendo a terapêutica ser instituída de acordo com o caso clínico. Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar breve revisão de literatura relativa à patogenia, sinais clínicos, diagnóstico e tratamento da gengivo-estomatite crônica felina. Além disso, pretendemos alertar aos médicos veterinários quanto à importância da enfermidade e apresentar as dificuldades diagnósticas e terapêuticas de acordo com o estágio de evolução da doença.
